However, this morning news broke that two men were arrested in connection to a planned terrorist attack at Taylor’s upcoming shows.

In a news conference, Vienna State Police Director Franz Ruf and Police Chief Gerhard Purstl revealed that Vienna State Police raided the home of one of the men, a 19-year-old from Ternitz who allegedly “pledged his allegiance to ISIS.” According to the police, the bomb squadfoundchemical substances in his home, and investigators are actively determining if said substances could have been used to build a bomb.

The two men had been radicalized online and allegedly had a specific plan to carry out the attacks.

Initially, police confirmed that there were no plans to cancel the shows and that Taylor’s performance would go on with increased security measures.
