Tate McRae's New Music Video Is Literally Turning Haters Into Full-Blown Fans, And Here's Why

In case you need a refresher, Tate’s 2023 albumTHINK LATERis full of BOPS like “greedy” and “exes,” which you’ve definitely heard on TikTok (or blasted in the car like me). But Tate has actually beenwriting music for years.

People are also referring to Tate as the newBritney Spears. Recently, she paid homage to Britney at the VMAs by wearing a very similar outfit Britney wore in 2001. So, you know, she’s a big deal.

Anyway, let’s talk about Tate’s new song, “It’s ok I’m ok,” which was released on Sept. 13 along with a music video… because she did NOT hold back. It’s a feminine anthem, with hilarious, poetic lyrics such as: “And she be like, ‘He’s so perfect.’ I be like, ‘Oh, what version?'” 🤣🤣

And as for themusic video? Tate does what she does best: serving confidence. Like, in one part, she struts around in a shirt that says “I ❤️ ME” on it. A true queen!!!

But Tate is probably most well-known for her flawless dancing abilities — so I’m happy to report that there’s NO shortage of dance breaks in this music video. Although that’s not even the thing people are freaking out over the most.

Here’s the most jaw-dropping part of the video: in one scene, Tate fights off the police as they try to handcuff her, and literally all she’s wearing are knee-high boots, a hat, and a necklace. So essentially, a (censored) nude scene.

Of course, Tate SERVES in this video. She gave us her all. And the internet is absolutely LOVING it.
