Simone Bilesis getting real about her experience with Botox.
The 27-year-old Olympiansharedher experience in a GRWM TikTok video ahead of Thursday’s all-around competition at the Paris Olympics.
“I have a funny story for you guys,” she began. “So, for my 27th birthday, I got Botox, like, baby Botox, just right here in my T-zone.”
“I did not like it,” Simone said of the injections. “So I haven’t got it again, and mind you that was back in March.”
“That’s because I would be, like, standing at practice, and my eyebrow would be slowly going up like this,” she continued, raising her brow up high. Simone said her teammates would tell her when it would happen, but she couldn’t get it to stay down.
“It would go back down in, like, 20 seconds, and it would randomly do that!” Simone remembered.
“Now, I can do all the facials,” she said, showing that she’s regained full mobility in her face, “so not doing that again.”
Simone previously said her beauty routine mostly consisted of good skin care. “This is the key, and this is all you need,” shetoldVogue.
She said when she’s competing, she’ll “usually go for a gold look,” but she also stressed, “It does not matter what you look like.”
“Going into a competition does makeup make me feel better? Yes. But it’s what I do out there on the floor that really, really matters.”
