" She ’s intimate , she ’s sharp , she ’s agile , and she knows exactly what ’s right and incorrect . The big understanding , though , is she ACTUALLY CARES about the American people , which is more than can be enounce for certain others . "
On Sunday, President Bidendropped outof the presidential race and endorsed Kamala Harris. Since then, she has received an outpouring of support from politicians, celebrities, andpeople on the internet.
So, weaskedtheBuzzFeed Communityif they would support Kamala if she became the Democratic nominee. And we received over 1,300 responses in one day! Here’s what our audience had to say:
1.“100% yes. I would vote for any Democrat against MAGA. This is a matter of saving democracy as we know it. I want my daughter to have the same (certainly not less) rights as I had as a young woman. It’s vital that we ALL vote for Kamala.”

2.“I’ll vote for her, but only because Trump sucks. I’m about as far left as you can get, and no one really represents what I believe in. But in Harris’s America, I’ll be free to be that far left.”
— rivers82
3.“Nope, can’t think of one single thing I’ve seen her accomplish while in office. Come to think of it, I rarely saw her ever, anywhere, doing anything while in office.”
— Holly_berry88
4.“100%! It’s time to pass the torch to a younger generation. I’m incredibly grateful for the decades of service Joe Biden gave our nation, but he made the right decision. We need someone to get people energized and to the polls in November to prevent a second Trump administration. Trump is a danger to our country and the world.”
5.“I fully support her. She seems like a very strong candidate to go against Trump. However, let’s be honest — we want to see literally anyone else in office besides Trump. Also, we are not voting for a president anymore; we’re voting for an administration. We are voting to make sureProject 2025does not continue. It’s already started with how abortion is being handled, and Louisiana is now requiring the Ten Commandments to be taught in school. Project 2025 has begun; we need to make sure it does not continue, and that it ends in November.”
" I urge on people to understand how serious this election is . Black , Asian , Latino , bloodless — it does n’t matter . If you are a woman , Project 2025 is meant to strip you entirely of your rights to be a woman . If you are trans , 2025 is go to strip you of your right to be trans . This election is about gratuitous will and ca-ca sure masses keep the rights RIGHTFULLY fall in to them . GO VOTE IN NOVEMBER FOR YOUR RIGHTS . "

6.“As a disabled veteran, I find Trump disgusting, anti-American, and incompetent. The GOP voters are trying to force him into office again because they hate America and don’t value any laws or regulations. That’s what they tell me face to face. Harris has zero baggage in comparison, knows which countries want to be our enemies, and will steer a steadier ship than the chaotic guy without morals. Easy choice: Putin-loving fool or someone with a brain.”
7.“Hell. Freaking. No. She would make us an even bigger laughing stock to the world, and she would have zero respect from other world leaders.”
8.“I am not a fan of how harsh she was as a prosecutor, but I am a big fan of how she has handled the vice presidency. She’s shown she is articulate, capable, and has a great sense of humor. She has my vote!”
9.“Absolutely. First of all, as a person of color, it would be wonderful to see the first Asian American and second African American president of the US. As someone who believes in total gender equality, it’d be amazing to have the first female vice president become president. She is also much younger than Trump, and she actually has the mental capability to serve as president.”
" And she is a Democrat . As a mortal who is part of several minorities , I ca n’t chance it in me to fend for the Republican Party . I can honestly see Kamala go down as one of the great presidents in US history . My absolute support for this presidential election proceed to Kamala Harris . "
10.“She was my first choice. I wanted her before I wanted Biden. I met her in the pitifully tiny Southern town that I live in. She came to speak and hear our needs. Actual rural Americans. She’s always had my vote.”

11.“I will support whomever the DNC chooses as their candidate. I’m usually not one to vote Democrat simply because I’m a registered Democrat, but I am determined to vote for the candidate least likely to implement Project 2025 in any way. If social issues weren’t largely being threatened by the other party, I’d be open to considering voting differently. Social issues are a top priority to me right now as a mom of an adult trans daughter.”
12.“I will not support her. Our economy is horrible right now, and the only person who has the potential to fix that is Trump.”
13.“Yes, absolutely! I’m so jazzed! I was all for supporting Joe but worried about his ability to articulate his thoughts (never worried about his thoughts themselves). But now that we have Kamala, no worries at all. I immediately donated to her directly so my money would be counted with the big response I knew would happen. I’m overjoyed to support her and REALLY want a woman president this time.”
14.“Anyone but Trump. His win would spell disaster for my fellow queers. My family is also full of minorities, and we don’t feel safe, respected, or valued by Trump and his cronies.”
15.“What’s not to like? She’s qualified (as in has actually studied the Constitution and is highly unlikely to disregard it or disregard democracy altogether), she’s age appropriate, and she’s classy. Did I mention she is qualified? I feel a tiny sense of hope for our future.”
— happypepper977
16.“Absolutely not. She hasn’t done anything in her four years of being VP. I don’t trust her judgement, and I don’t think she is a leader. I wish so badly for a woman to be in office, but absolutely not Kamala. We will be just as lost with her as we were with Biden. We need CHANGE. Kamala is not change.”
17.“I need a clear statement from her on the genocide in Gaza. Without that, I am 50/50 on voting for her.”
18.“Absolutely, yes! I’m relieved that Biden stepped aside. I was so afraid that Trump would win due to the perception of Biden being mentally too old by Independents and anti-Trump Republicans. I knew that Democrats would hold firm, but I feared that it wasn’t enough, especially after the debate.”
19.“I want to end the disastrous policies of the Biden-Harris administration and return to the prosperity and security the US experienced under former president Trump.”
— fjpm475
20.“Yes, I would. As an Independent, I’m not fond of either major party as they don’t serve the majority of people in this country. That said, she’s not an elderly guy, nor is she likely to support policies detrimental to a majority of voters. In short, it got old having politicians convince voters to elect them so they could screw over those same voters.”
21.“Yes. I believe the Democratic Party has a real opportunity to bring in a candidate that all of America has been wanting for so long. They can finally bridge the gap between parties to put an end to the toxic and extremely polarizing landscape politics has become. When I think about what I want for myself, my family, and my community for the next four years, that does not include Donald Trump, his supporters' violent rhetoric, and the potential of being stripped of our democratic process and rights.”
22.“Yes. Not only because I’d vote for a potato over Trump, but because she’s intelligent, strong, and an amazing role model for girls and women everywhere. She needs a good running mate to not scare off those who think we aren’t ready for a woman to be president, but she’s more than qualified for this job.”
— nicolej473817779
23.“Yeah. She wouldn’t be my first choice, but she’s running against Trump, who would be my last choice.”
— staylevelheaded
24.“I am voting for Trump because no Democrat actually seems to love America. Trump does.”
— shinynugget26
25.“Absolutely. While she doesn’t align fully with my progressive viewpoints, she isn’t a racist, misogynistic, rabid MAGA supporter set on strangling this country into submission with their evangelical tactics, corporate funding, and blatant disregard for human rights. I hope she can drive change through policy to set our country back on track by addressing the Supreme Court, immigration reform, and all citizens' rights to their own bodies and lives.”
26.“I am a conservative. And I will 1,000% be voting for ANYONE but Trump. Sorry/not sorry, but he has thrashed this whole, entire country apart.”
— morganleslay
27.“No. All she does is laugh at the world.”
28.“Yes, I’ll vote for Kamala. I’m alarmed that reproductive rights are under attack and downright terrified of what Project 2025 is laying out. Separation of church and state is very important to me.”
29.“Absolutely. She’s knowledgeable, she’s sharp, she’s quick, and she knows exactly what’s right and wrong. The biggest reason, though, is she ACTUALLY CARES about the American people, which is more than can be said for certain others.”
30.“Yes! I’m finally feeling optimistic about the election and feel confident she has a good chance of winning. We cannot have a lying felon who wants to dismantle democracy as president.”
31.“I support Kamala. I think she is a bright, capable, and respectable leader who truly wants to better this country. She is the right choice to prevent ultra-conservatives from setting us back 100 years of progress.”
32.“Never. Her presidency would be nothing but the same, such as working people not affording ANYTHING!”
33.And finally, “I’d support Kamala Harris because I’d vote for a wet sponge over Trump! But seriously, I feel like she is a serious candidate with a lot going for her. I like, if not fully agree with, her stance on most things. Also, it’s past time for a woman to be president. I hope to vote for her not because she is a woman, but because I feel like she is the right choice for the country, with the added bonus that she is a woman.”
