We want to know .

While many folks embark on new relationships with the intention of remaining faithful, we all know that some people don’t stay that way.

So we want to know: People who’ve cheated on a significant other, do you have any regrets?

Maybe you had a year-long affair, but you felt so much guilt that you confessed to your girlfriend. She was heartbroken, separated from you, and ended up with primary custody of the kids. You’ve regretted it ever since.

Perhaps you cheated on your boyfriend, and it made you realize that you weren’t meant to be together. While you’re not proud of cheating, you don’t regret it because it gave you the push you needed to end the relationship. Both you and your ex went on to find new partners and get married.

Or maybe you cheated on your wife, and it made you realize how stupid you’d been to jeopardize your marriage over a one-night stand. You’ve been faithful ever since, but over the years, the guilt of not telling her has weighed heavily on you.

Or perhaps you had an affair with a coworker. You and your husband had been on the rocks for years, and your coworker made you feel special again. When your husband saw the texts, he demanded couples therapy. Your marriage is so much better now, and while you regret hurting him, you’re grateful for this second chance.
