I can not reckon getting overturned over this , but alas , some people are .

France’s Alice Finot came in 4th place in the 3000m steeplechase.

It was especially meaningful because she broke the European record.

But things got even better when she approached her boyfriend, took out a ring, and proposed.

I’m pretty sure he said yes.

The video of the interaction is going viral:

There’s a lot of discourse around this one!

Most people thought it was very sweet (because it is).

“Way to break social and gender norms I love this!!!” one person said.

“Love has no rules,” another person commented.

But, because people have a problem with everything, some people said otherwise.

This person said they “prefer the traditional method” and said it “makes her look desperate.”

Another person called it “Very sad.”

The whole thing is pretty absurd considering 99% of these people have never run a race in their life.

Anyway, congrats to her! As this person said, “This must be the best day of his life.”

Bye!

I cannot imagine getting upset over this, but alas, some people are.
