“ You know a moving-picture show is gon na rock when Robert Pattinson does a airheaded little voice . ”

Since rising to fame as a teen heartthrob in the 2000s,Robert Pattinsonhas packed his résumé with a whole load of eccentric acting performances.

And if there’s one thing we’ve come to expect from an R.Patz movie, it’s that he’ll probably show up speaking with some kind of unusual accent.

Throughout his career, Rob has doneso many accentsthat it’d probably take too long to list them all here. But, as far as some highlights go, we’ll start strong with his monotoneEdward Cullenvoicein theTwilightmovies.

Stepping away from vampires, Rob mixes things up with an edgy Queens accent in the Safdie brothers’Good Time.

A personal favorite of mine .

Playing a drunken lighthouse keeper inThe Lighthouse, he has a New England-ish accent, which sometimes makes him sound like a pirate.

Things then get kind of creepy inThe Devil All the Time, in which Rob delivers a high-pitch southern drawl to portray a church preacher.

My verbal description wo n’t do this one Department of Justice .

While donning the Batsuit, he took inspiration from his predecessors and gave his take on the huskyBatman voice.

And we can’t possibly forgetthatFrench accentinThe King, which is equal parts bonkers and terrifying.

The long hair definitely tote up to the experience .

In movies likeTenet, for example, Rob occasionally opts to speak in his own English accent. But that’s not nearly as fun — which is why fans are so pleased to see he’s just added another weird voice to his sprawling résumé of dialects.

If you’ve not heard, Rob will star inMickey 17, the long-awaited sci-fi black comedy byParasitedirector Bong Joon-ho.

The upcoming film — based on the novelMickey7— stars Rob as Mickey, a man sent on a mission to colonize an ice world. The hitch? Mickey is an “Expendable” employee, which means he gets sent on the most dangerous expeditions, and each time he dies on the job, he gets cloned and brought back with all the same memories.

Thetrailerfinally dropped yesterday, and in addition to acting opposite himself when Mickey comes face to face with one of his clones, it seems Rob also had the joy of developing one of his most unique accents yet.

Some have described it as a “quirky nerd voice,” while I’m hearing some hints of Steve fromSex and the City. Either way, fans appear to be loving it.

Hailing Rob as an “all time great,” one user praised the actor’s dedication to crafting new, interesting dialects for roles in which “other actors would just do a normal american guy voice.”

pattinson is just an all time heavy . so many other actor would just do a normal american guy voice but not this swell . elevates the materialhttps://t.co/9XmXfupJ2Z

Comparing his diverse range of accents, one fan wrote that he’s deserving of an Oscar.

Meanwhile, someone else suggested his talents could be put to good use in an “animated movie in which he is the voiceover actor for every single character.”

I can imagine a Robert Pattinson enliven motion-picture show in which he is the voiceover actor for every individual character and no one would be able to tell they were all voiced by him .

Sadly,Mickey 17doesn’t release until January 2025. So, between now and then, we’ve got plenty of time to rewatch the trailer and revisit Rob’s previous chaotic accent work.
