Hetold reporterson Wednesday that he will not endorseKamala HarrisorDonald Trump. “I don’t want my place and my platform to be used to endorse a candidate or do whatever either way,” he said.

Mahomes continued, “I think my place is to inform people to get registered to vote — is to inform people to do their own research, and then make their best decision for them and their family.”

The election has followed Mahomes into the locker room because former president Donald Trumpthankedhis wife, Brittany Mahomes, for being a “defender” of his campaign.

Brittany recently made newsfor appearing to like one ofTrump’s Instagram postsabout “The 2024 GOP Platform.” The post included plans to, “Stop the border invasion,” “Keep men OUT of women’s sports,” “Cut federal funding for any school pushing Critical Race Theory,” and “Deport pro-Hamas radicals.”

Reporters later asked Mahomes if it affects him when the former president speaks about his wife. He said, “No… In the political times people are going to use stuff here and there, but I can’t let that affect how I go about my business every single day and live my life.”

He also said that when it comes to his friendships and teammates, politics is not his concern.
