Trump and Harris ’s teams ca n’t agree on whether the disputation should feature muted mics while the other speak , so I need to know your thought .

Despite former president Donald Trump suggestinghe may skip the first presidential debatebetween him and Vice President Kamala Harris, the event is still confirmed for Sept. 10 (for now).

However, there is one issue about the debate that reportedly has the two opponents at a stand-still: the question of whether their mics should be muted when it’s not their turn to speak, or not.

WhenTrump debated President Joe Biden in June, the two agreed on having their mics muted while the other spoke. However, the Harris campaign asked that the Sept. 10 debate follow the previously (and historically) established format with live mics, Politicoreports.

“ We have told ABC and other networks seeking to host a potential October debate that we conceive both nominee ’ mics should be live throughout the full broadcast , ” the Harris run ’s senior advisor , Brian Fallon told Politico .

“Our understanding is that Trump’s handlers prefer the muted microphone because they don’t think their candidate can act presidential for 90 minutes on his own," they continued.

" We suspect Trump ’s squad has not even told their boss about this contravention because it would be too embarrassing to allow in they do n’t remember he can treat himself against Vice President Harris without the benefit of a unspoken button . "

On his part, Trump’s senior adviser told the outlet: “Enough with the games. We accepted the ABC debate under the exact same terms as the CNN debate. The Harris camp, after having already agreed to the CNN rules, asked for a seated debate, with notes, and opening statements. We said no changes to the agreed upon rules.”

“ If Kamala Harris is n’t wise enough to repeat the electronic messaging point her coach want her to memorize , that ’s their problem . This seems to be a shape for the Harris campaign . They wo n’t let Harris to do interviews , they wo n’t allow her to do wardrobe conferences , and now they need to give her a cheat - sheet for the disputation . My hypothesis is that they ’re looking for a fashion to get out of any argument with President Trump . ”

So now I want to hear from you. Should the candidates' mics be muted while their opponent is speaking?
