Since President Biden stepped out of the race and endorsed his VP, I’ve seen a bunch of Republicans online say they will be voting forKamala HarrisoverDonald Trump.
So I’m curious: If you’re a Republican planning to vote for Kamala, what’s your reasoning?
Maybe you’re fiscally conservative and socially liberal, and Project 2025 has terrified you. You’re willing to vote Democrat in this election to ensure that your LGBTQ family members and friends maintain their rights.
Perhaps you long for the old days of the Republican party — before MAGA thuggery overtook policy and civility. While Kamala might not be your first choice for president, you’re happy to vote for her to crush this MAGA mentality once and for all.
Or maybe you’re genuinely worried about the state of our democracy. You were astounded and horrified when Trump wouldn’t certify the election results, and you’ll return to usual party disagreements once you’re certain democracy is no longer at stake.
Or perhaps it isn’t you but your parents, grandparents, or friends who decided not to vote for Trump because of the continued divisiveness he has caused since leaving office almost four years ago.
