Congratulations , Nada Hafez !

Nada Hafez is a three-time Olympic Egyptian fencer.

She first competed at Rio 2016.

She competed again four years later at Tokyo 2020.

And she’s back, this time in Paris.

Hafez won against American Elizabeth Tartakovsky in fencing’s Table of 32 on Monday, and she celebrated with quite the announcement onInstagram.

“What appears to you as two players on the podium, they were actually three! It was me, my competitor, & my yet-to-come to our world, little baby!” she wrote. “My baby & I had our fair share of challenges, be it both physical & emotional. The rollercoaster of pregnancy is tough on its own, but having to fight to keep the balance of life & sports was nothing short of strenuous, however worth it.”

Hafez also noted that she was filled with “pride” on advancing to the Round of 16. South Korean Jeon Hayoung bested her in the Round of 16.

Regardless, Hafez competing while pregnant is something to celebrate.

“This specific Olympics was different; Three times Olympian but this time carrying a little Olympian one! ❤️” she concluded.

You can check out her full Instagram posthere. Congratulations, Nada!
