Ben Affleckhas reportedly officially closed on a new home.
According to People, the actor recentlypurchaseda $20-million estate in LA. The home features five bedrooms and was previouslyownedby billionaire businessman Rupert Murdoch’s nephew, David Calvert-Jones, perEntertainment Tonight.
Ben’s also currently trying to sell his marital home withJennifer Lopez. The twolistedthe $60-million property for sale last month, just one year after they purchased it.
In the meantime, a source says Ben is loving his new home.
“Ben really likes his new home and feels hopeful about the change,” an insidertoldET.
The source also shared insight into why Ben wanted to move: “He wanted to move and be closer to Jen Garner and their kids to make co-parenting easier. It’s been a hard time for him, but he’s continuing to make his wellbeing and his family a priority.”
Meanwhile, J.Lo has been spending time on the East Coast, most recently celebratingher 55th birthdaythere. “[She] always loves getting to spend time on the East Coast, especially during the summer,” a sourcetoldET, “and it’s been nice for her to be surrounded by friends and family who love her.”
“It has been a hard year with some unexpected realizations, changes, and obstacles, but Jen is trying to view her 55th birthday as a fresh start,” the source continued. “She is trying not to let her situation with Ben bring her down.”
