" Do n’t even conceive about using my music . "

Jack White is the latest musician angered by Donald Trump’s use of their songs without permission.

OnInstagram, the former White Stripes frontman shared a video playing the song “Seven Nation Army” as the former president stepped into a plane. The original video posted by Trump communications deputy director Margo Martin has been deleted.

“Oh….Don’t even think about using my music you fascists. Law suit coming from my lawyers about this (to add to your 5 thousand others.) Have a great day at work today Margo Martin,” Jack wrote in the caption.

“And as long as I’m here, a double fuck you DonOLD for insulting our nation’s veterans at Arlington you scum. You should lose every military family’s vote immediately from that if ANYTHING makes sense anymore,” he concluded.

According toNPR, two Trump campaign members “had a verbal and physical altercation” with an official at Arlington National Cemetery during a wreath-laying ceremony this week. The official tried to uphold the rules preventing political filming and photography on cemetery grounds but was “abruptly pushed aside,” per astatementfrom the US Army.

Over the years, Jack has made his dislike of Trump abundantly clear, going as far as calling out other celebrities who associate with the convicted felon. In a 2023Instagram post, he wrote, “Anybody who ‘normalizes’ or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of shit Trump with any level of respect is ALSO disgusting in my book. That’s youJoe Rogan, youMel Gibson, youMark Wahlberg, youGuy Fieri.”

Back in 2016, Trump’s campaign actuallyusedthe same song “Seven Nation Army” without permission. In response, Jack, along with White Stripes member and ex-wife Meg White, sold T-shirts that read “Icky Trump” — a reference to their 2007 album and song, “Icky Thump.”
