Oh , I ’m going to ask [ coddler ] to be be sick right now . Please , Bridgerton .

Dearest, gentle reader! It’s only been a little over a month sinceBridgertonSeason 3 officially wrapped, and it was a heck of a season.

As of July 3, the third season of the hit Netflix seriesbecamethe 10th biggest English-language series ever, with a reported 91.9 million views and counting.

Of course, Season 3 followed Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) as he finally realized his feelings for Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). And with it came so many memorable moments like thecarriage scene, themirror scene, the reveal of Lady Whistledown to the Ton, and more.

WithBridgertonalready being renewed for a Season 4 ahead of the third season’s premiere, people have been waiting anxiously to see which Bridgerton sibling will lead next season, with fans believing it would either be Benedict (Luke Thompson), Eloise (Claudia Jessie), or Francesca (Hannah Dodd).

And now we finally have an answer. Today, Netflix unveiled that Season 4 will focus on none other than Benedict Bridgerton.

It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, considering Benedict’s book is the third inJulia Quinn’s beloved series, and the show actually skipped over his story to do Colin and Penelope’s first.

Netflix unveiled the exciting newswith a short video, which included some of Benedict’s moments from previous seasons and then Luke T. preparing to get fitted for a suit for a VERY special occasion.

You can watch the full video below:

And fans are already super excited:

Benedict’s love story is based on Julia’s book,An Offer from a Gentleman, and it’s literally theBridgertonversion ofCinderella.

An Offer from a Gentlemanfollows Sophie Beckett, who dreams of finding her “Prince Charming” when she sneaks into the Bridgertons' famed masquerade ball. Ultimately, she ends up spending the night with Benedict.

However, when the clock strikes midnight, her fairy tale ends when she’s forced back to her house with her disdainful stepmother. Ever since this magical night, Benedict is determined to find the mystery woman he danced with.

The Season 3 finalehintedat Lady Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) famed masquerade ball when Eloise told Benedict that she would be back from traveling Scotland with Francesca and John (Victor Alli) in time for it.

Now, if you’ve read the books like me, then you are probably EAGERLY awaiting any casting news for Sophie. After all, she is one of the most beloved love interests in theBridgertonuniverse.

Fan casting for Sophie’s character has been popping up online for a long time. My personal favoritefan castis Jessie Mei Li, best known for starring in Netflix’sShadow and Boneas Alina Starkov.

While Netflix hasn’t announced any official casting just yet, we’ll keep you posted when it does happen because, if I’m being honest, you’ll hear me screaming with excitement wherever you are, dear reader.
