August isNational Breastfeeding Awareness Month, where we highlight the beauty and challenges of the process. The last few days (Aug. 25–31) are recognized as Black Breastfeeding Week, where we also explore the disparities in breastfeeding among Black women.

Maybe you decided to stop breastfeeding earlier than you expected or continued to do it longer than you initially prepared for.

Perhaps you had difficulty producing milk and sought outside assistance.

Or maybe you didn’t have the proper support from your partner, family, or work environment.

Whatever the reason, we’d like to hear from you. And please remember, as long as your child is surrounded by love, it doesn’t matter to us whether you chose to breastfeed or not.
