Quick recap (as if you need it): Last month, Ben and Jenfiled for divorceafter reuniting in 2021 and getting married the following year. As you probably know, this was their second go-round together after being in a relationship from 2002 to 2004.
Since then, we’ve received a few updates about what’s going on — official and otherwise. J.Lo posted somecommemorative thirst trapsdespite reports that she was feeling"some bitterness"about the split…
…And she was also recently spottedholding handswith Ben’s BFFMatt Damon.
Fast-forward to this weekend, whenreports emergedthat Ben and Jen were seen “kissing” at a family brunch — leading many to speculate online that, despite the divorce reports, maybe there was hope for their love after all.
According to a new report fromPeople, however, that doesn’t exactly seem to be the case.
“They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out,” a source told the publication about the public outing, adding that Jennifer is “trying to be friendly with Ben.”
“They are still moving forward with the divorce though. They are working out financial details amicably.”
“A divorce is never easy, but Jennifer doesn’t want to be selfish about it,” the source added. “The kids always got along and have fun together.”
“It makes her happy seeing the kids happy together. Happy kids are her priority.”
