" Most people make playfulness of me in my category , but I keep moving . "
Adam Sandleris a style icon, no matter what anybody says.
If you’re online more than you breathe air like me, you might know that the comedian/actor was dubbed a fashionista by the internet for his “goofy clothes” and laid-back style.
When asked if he knew he was a Gen Z style icon, Adam toldPeople, “You know, this is an accidental thing, but here I am wearing goofy clothes and…I don’t know. I don’t think about it, but I appreciate you sayin' that.”
Adam’s known for rocking colorful collared shirts, basketball shorts, and sneakers that don’t necessarily go together, but they work.
He’s also inspired the moniker for the “Madame Sandler” trend from his ‘90sAirheadslook, which included a crop top shirt and long shorts.
If you don’t believe he’s a fashion icon, look at some of your favorite Gen Z artists and tell me they’re not rockingAdam Sandlerfits.
Now, Adam gently broke down the process of throwing together these fashion phenomena, and it’s even more chill than I expected.
In aMystery FashionistTikTok on Aug. 25, Adam revealed, “It just happens. I didn’t really think it through.”
“There’s sneakers,” Adam said.
“There’s some goofy shorts,” he added.
“I wear this to cover this,” he said about his sweater, pointing to his stomach. Adam added that he wore a T-shirt to “cover more.”
When asked if he has a specific style, Adam said nonchalantly (as a fashion icon would), “It’s whatever’s in the closet. I grab it. I think I got a bunch of the same socks. Underwear is kind of similar, too. I grab it. I don’t think about it much. Most people make fun of me in my family, but I keep moving.”
In case you’re wondering what pieces Adam can’t live without and you’re looking for style tips, here they are:
Crew socks
Sneakers
Knee-length shorts
“Goofy” shirts
Congratulations on Adam Sandler gaining the approval of Gen Z for his style andpossiblyinspiringBillie Eilish, among others.
