We see you naptime đź‘€
Let’s take a minute to rewind to those carefree childhood days. You know, the ones with naps, summer breaks at school, and endless cartoon marathons.
And while there were probably a few things you hated as a kid, you might have actually grown up to love a few of them. Recently, Reddit useru/26LTasked, “What sucked as a child but is awesome as an adult?” Here’s what people had to say:
1.“Bedtime. As a kid, it was the worst part of the day. But as an adult, it’s the highlight of my day.”
2.“Remember when veggies were like the boring relatives at a family gathering? Now, as grown-ups, it’s like throwing a taste bud party where carrots salsa dance, and broccoli breakdances!”

3.“Siblings. My brother was SO mean to me when we were kids. We constantly fought at home, school, the grocery store, and everywhere else. Now we are able to spend the day together without getting into a fight!”
4.“Cleaning my room was a constant source of arguments with my parents. Today, having a clean, organized space feels satisfying and helps me stay focused and calm.”

5.“Going to the grocery store. As a kid, I was always told no, but as an adult my secret candy/snack stash says yessssss.”
6.“Being told to go to your room.”

7.“A home-cooked meal.”
8.“Getting a package of socks as a gift.”
— u / Cheese_Pancakes
9.“When your parents said no to a friend coming over. Now when I don’t want to be social I have to make up a better excuse than my mom said no.”
10.“Spankings.”
— u / Parking_War_4100
11.“Going to museums.”
12.“People canceling plans on you! It would suck as a youngster, but as an adult, it’s just such a treat. You get yourself ready for social time, plans go awry, and instead, you get to stay home and do NOTHING!”
— uranium / GregaciousTien
13.“Silence.”
14.“Buying stuff for the house. Going to stores like Home Goods and decorating your house the way you want it.”
— u / Ok_Finish6977
15.“Staying home on a Friday night seemed like a punishment when I was younger. Now, it feels like a treat to relax at home after a long week, watching a movie or reading a good book.”
16.“Chatting with my friends' parents. Most of them have pretty hilarious or interesting stories about our childhood.”
— atomic number 92 / Chirivilco _
17.“Going thrifting. Shopping at the thrift store as a kid with my mom meant that we were poor. Now thrifting is hip, fun, and smart in this economy.”
18.“Napping. I look forward to my post-work pre-dinner nap every day.”
— u / squidward_smells _
19.“Having nothing that you have to do, all day.”
