And yep , there ’s really a J Lo narration in here !
Over the past month or so, I’ve published a couple posts sharing some stories people have shared aboutcelebrities they’ve waited on— ones who have been, well, not the nicest. Or in more blunt terms, arrogant a-holes.
1.“Not me, but my partner works for AMC. He was working during a red-carpet premiere for one of J Lo’s movies, and said she was really nice and friendly. She brought a ton of staff along with her (understandably), but he said she made a point of thanking the theatre employees for their hard work in making the event happen.”
" She was also very kind during the Q&A that followed the film , and was happy to blab out to / sign autographs for her fans . "

2.“Rosie O’Donnell is truly one of the nicest people to wait on. She was regular where I worked. I was new, so she introduced herself and asked my name. She remembered it the next time (and remembered everyone else’s name). Kind, patient, and tips 100% on the bill. Her guests were always kind as well.”
" The best moment , though , was when I waited on her and table of 10 powerhouse women in different fields . I was stress to reach an empty plate and her Guest were deep in conversation . She order them to calculate awake and pay off attention , then cheered to me ' C’m on Mae ! Dirt in the bird ! Get in there ! ' "

3.“Olivia Rodrigois always an amazing customer. So, so sweet and respectful. You would never ever know that she’s famous; she comes off like a regular young woman.”

4.“I had a work event where I was to interview Vanilla Ice. I WAS SO NERVOUS! He could absolutely tell, but his kindness and charisma was instantly relaxing! At one point the room was noisy and I didn’t necessarily know how to command it, and he kind of leaned in and said, ‘Are you ready?’ And then in a flawless move had everyone quiet while I started my questions!”
" He gave us a stagecoach term of enlistment and hung out all up until the show begin . All - around genuine human being ! "

5.“Portland Trailblazer Kevin Duckworth used to come into the Big & Tall store where I worked. He’d come on a weeknight when it was dead and just hang out and buy a bunch of stuff. He was great.”

6.“I took a phone order from Naomi Judd when I worked for a catalog company. When she game me her name I said ‘Well of course you are’ because she sounded exactly like herself. She laughed, which is the surest way to make me like you.”
7.“I met Alice Cooper when I was little because my brother worked security for him and took me on a ride-along. Years later, same store, his personal assistant comes in and finds out my oldest brother and I are fans. He tells us he has a surprise for us. Alice was actually there. Came in, hair pulled back in a ponytail, said hi, shook our hands, and told us how cool it was that we helped set up his kitchen, then left. Great dude.”

8.“I heard for years that Eli Roth was an a-hole, but he was one of my regulars for a while and he always tipped $100 even if he was only getting a coffee or food to go. He brought who I assume are his parents in a few times and would tip the server huge when they were there.”
" But I had a friend tell me that he was the worst soul he ever waited on . "

12.“I used to work at a chain regularly patronized by Joe Flacco and Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens. Both were very polite, kept to themselves, and tipped well.”
" Though I did take a take out fiat over the headphone once from Justin Tucker ’s wife , and all I ’ll say is that the same can not be said about her . "

13.“I have a good service story about someone. She’s not as famous as some of these celebs, but do y’all know the TV show Say Yes To The Dress fromTLC? I got to wait on Lori Allen from Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta. She was the most kind and sweet woman.”
" I want to tell her I was buff of the show but I was too uneasy . "

14.“One of my regulars is Amp Lee — he and his family are great. He always chats with us, makes an effort to remember names and personal details, leaves a good tip, and got my coworker tickets to a Suns game. Truly a stand-up guy and his wife is just as lovely!”

15.“My partner has met a few famous people in the course of his job and he says so far Dan Ackroyd was his favourite.”
" It was the red - carpet premiere of one of the newer ' Ghostbusters ' movies in a midtown Manhattan theater , so it was kind of a big deal . Before the film started Ackroyd was plain just cuckold around the picture house randomly verbalize to people , and having playfulness doing it .
Partner says the two of them just hung out and talked for 5 - 10 minute about movie , TV , New York , and all kinds of random stuff . He says Ackroyd was passing funny and very down - to - world .
Apparently Ackroyd ’s security guards did NOT realise that Ackroyd was wandering around the theater of operations talking to citizenry wholly unescorted , because in the middle of mate and him talking , they ran up shouting , ' Mr. Ackroyd ! We take you to come with us now ! ” Partner say Ackroyd give him a ' what can you do ? ' kind of smile and shrug and waved goodbye . A actual family turn . "
16.“I was hosting at a restaurant (at a ski resort) and Chris Nuñez from Ink Masters came in by himself. He talked with me and the other host for like 10 minutes, asking us about any new spots he should check out. He sat in the corner of the bar and had a few drinks. Super chill and low key!”
" He give thanks us on the way out too , even though we did n’t even sit down him at a table , LOL . And his down optic are even more beautiful in genuine life ! "
